Born in September 1997 in Arenys de Munt, Nil Roca played for the club in his town from a very young age. His first great success: the championships of Catalonia and Spain with Arenys. came when he was a Second Year Infant. In the 2012/13 season, he joined the Barça hockey team together with his twin brother and goalkeeper, Blai Roca.
He was very successful in the youth categories winning the championships of Catalonia and Spain for children (2013), youth (2015) and junior (2015 and 2016). With Barça B he won the Princess Cup and the League title for the 2015/16 season.
His consistently high level of performance ensured that the doors to the first team opened, and he was in various squads during the 2014/15 season. He debuted on October 4, 2014 in Vilafranca, in an OK League match (1-3), and also had minutes in the Intercontinental finals against Petroleros (6-2) on October 10. He would debut in the European League against Bassano (6-3) on December 13.
In 2015/16, Roca was summoned to the Palau in a Continental Cup return match, and the number of minutes he played was increased when Edu Lamas was seriously injured. That season he ended up playing 16 games, including the European semi-final against Benfica, scoring six goals. He transferred to Noia Freixenet and was an important player for Pere Varias scoring 7 and 17 goals in the OK League between 2016 and 2018.
Part of the Spanish team in the youth categories, Nil Roca was proclaimed world champion with the senior side in Nanjing (2017) and won the Latin Cup (2018).
A complete defender with a winning mentality, Nil likes to press high and has the ability to steal balls from his opponent. He uses his speed on the counterattack, as well as demonstrating good vision.
