Casas and Xavi Barroso put Barça 2-0 up inside seven minutes, before Xavier Burguillos pulled one back just before half-time. Nacho Alabart restored the two-goal lead from a direct free hit, but Alcoi fought back to make it 3-3 with six minutes remaining.

Casas then struck twice in the closing seconds, the second into an empty net, to secure the win for a Barça side missing several players. Nil Torelló and Max Martos made their competitive debuts, while Sergi Llorca returned after receiving medical clearance.

Barça next visit CH Lloret Vila Esportiva on Saturday at 7.30pm CEST in their second Group B game.
