Born in Berga in Catalonia on 26 May, 2007, Marc Bernal Casas started his career with his home town club before joining Barça and La Masia at the age of just six. As a youngster his talent was obvious and Bernal quickly moved through the age categories. 

A holding midfielder with great tactical awareness and defensive abilities, Bernal quickly became a key member of the Barça Atlètic squad at the age of 16. In the 2023/24 season he made 31 appearances for Barça Atlètic, 27 of them as a starter, scoring twice in a game against Sestao River. On 17 August 2024, aged just 17 years and 84 days, he made his debut for the first team. However, just 10 days later in a league game against Rayo he suffered a serious knee injury that kept him out of action for over a year. 

During his recovery in September 2024 he signed a contract to keep him at the Club until 2026.
