Gerard Martín began his career at EF Performance and Sant Gabriel before moving at the U19 level to UE Cornellà where he reached the senior team in 2021/22. A defender who stands out for his versatility at the back. Even though he is a natural left back, he is tall enough to slot in at centre back if needed. 

In the summer of 2023 he joined Barça Atlètic. The blaugrana defender settled at the club quickly and in 2024/25 under coach Hansi Flick he began to make regular appearances for the first team, featuring in eight Champions League games and 28 games in the league. In 2025/26 he became part of the first team squad.
