FC Barcelona and UE Cornellà have reached an agreement on the transfer of Gerard Martín. The 21-year.old defender will play for Barça Atlètic on a 2-year contract through to 30 June 2025.
On Wednesday he took his medical at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper and took a look around his new home. This evening he will train with his new colleagues, and all that remains is for him to officially sign his contract.
Powerful defender
Born on the 26 February 2002 in Esplugues de Llobregat, Gerard Martín is a tall, well-built left back, whose body also means he's a handy man to have in the middle of defence.
After spending his earliest years at EF Performance and Sant Gabriel, he rose through the ranks at UE Cornellà, reaching the senior team in 2021/22.
