They won 5-0 at Elche in the opening game of the competition and were victorious by the same scoreline last weekend when they visited Mestalla.

Levante starting strong

The home side's season hasn't started too badly, with just one defeat in their first four games. After tumbling to Espanyol on the opening day they have drawn with Osasuna and Málaga, while their most impressive performance thus far was a confidence-boosting 5-2 dismantling of Real Betis in their most recent appearance at the Ciutat de València.

Although Barça only lost once in their first eleven league visits to Levante, they have lost on two of the last six, so this isn't a fixture that has necessarily always gone their way. Whatever the outcome, at home or away, Barça have never failed to score against Levante. In fact, their scoring run of 34 games is a Liga record against the same opponent. And with Barça scoring the way have been this season, it would be a huge surprise if that record were to end this Sunday.

Indeed, Barça have won the last four of their games with Levante, scoring at least three goals every time, including a 3-0 win at Spotify Camp Nou back in February of this year.

Barça are once again without the injured Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji, but Eric Garcia is back after missing the Feyenoord game through suspension. After taking a knock to the face against Valencia, the defender is likely to be the donning the same mask he had to wear for several games last season.

As it's an early kick-off, the squad including Hamza Abdelkarim, who signed a new contract just yesterday, travelled south on Saturday and stayed the night in a hotel.
