The Champions League is back, and Barça are up and running in emphatic fashion. Hansi Flick's side swept Feyenoord aside 5-1 at Spotify Camp Nou this Wednesday, producing another exhibition of attacking football to continue their superb start to the season.

Raphinha struck twice, Karim Adeyemi marked his first European appearance for the club with a spectacular goal, Lamine Yamal added the fourth and Gabriel Jesus came off the bench to score his first goal as a Barça player.

Five goals, three points and a hugely convincing opening night in Europe.

Raphinha strikes early

The rain was pouring down in Barcelona, but Barça needed just three minutes to light up the evening.

Raphinha anticipated superbly on the edge of the area, escaped his marker and then showed wonderful composure. With two defenders desperately trying to block his path to goal, the Brazilian feinted, left both of them on the ground and calmly fired past Ernst.

1-0 after barely three minutes, and Raphinha had done it again. The captain has now scored in all five of Barça's games this season.

Barça were playing with confidence and intensity. Adeyemi led the press, Rodri and Pedri controlled the midfield and the movement of the front four repeatedly caused problems for the Dutch defence.

Adeyemi adds another

And the second goal arrived on 22 minutes. Adeyemi collected the ball in the final third, drove inside and unleashed a superb right-footed shot beyond Ernst. A wonderful way to open his Champions League account as a Barça player.

There could easily have been more before the break. Lamine Yamal curled an effort narrowly wide, while João Cancelo rattled the post after a lovely piece of skill. At the other end, Joan Garcia produced an excellent save to deny Moussa on one of the few occasions when the Dutch visitors threatened.

Game over

Feyenoord came out more aggressively after the restart, but Barça soon delivered the decisive blow. And this one was pure quality.

Pedri spotted Raphinha's run through the middle and threaded a magnificent pass into his path. The Brazilian timed his movement perfectly, carried the ball towards goal and calmly swept a home left-footed finish for his second of the night.

Feyenoord briefly thought they had pulled one back through Nacho Ferri, but the goal was ruled out for offside.

Lamine joins the party

But Barça were not finished. With 13 minutes remaining, Lamine Yamal made it four. Dani Olmo won a free-kick right on the edge of the area and the teenager stepped up, finding the net through a gap in the Feyenoord wall.

The visitors did finally find a way past Joan Garcia when Steijn converted a low cross at the far post in the 82nd minute, but there was still time for another reason for the home fans to celebrate.

First goal for Gabriel Jesus

Gabriel Jesus entered the action immediately after Feyenoord's goal and needed barely three minutes to make his mark.

Lamine cut inside from the right and delivered one of his trademark curling balls into the area. The club’s newest recruit got the slightest of touches to guide it goalward and make it 5–1, opening his goalscoring account for FC Barcelona.

It was the perfect finish to another spectacular attacking performance. The European journey has only just begun, but Barça could hardly have asked for a better start.
