Andrés Iniesta is a symbol of Barça history after playing a total of 669 matches with FC Barcelona over 16 seasons, putting him second in the ranking of players with most games in the history of the club. He is only surpassed by his former midfield colleague, Xavi Hernández (767 matches).

He debuted with the first team in 2002, and has scored a total of 57 goals since then. 2006/07 and 2010/11 were his most prolific seasons, with nine scored in each. Despite it not being his primary function, Iniesta has found the net in consecutive 15 seasons, broken down as follows: 35 in La Liga, 11 in the Champions League, 10 in the Copa del Rey and one in the Spanish Super Cup.

Top highlights include the one against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the semifinals of the 2009 Champions League, his three goals against Real Madrid (two of them in the Santiago Bernabéu) and his last goal in this season’s Cup final.
