Goalkeeper
Born on 19 September 2003, Arnau Martínez began playing roller hockey at the age of four with Club Tennis Barcino. He later continued his development at Sant Just for seven seasons before joining Barça's youth academy in 2016.
He made his first-team debut during the 2020/21 season, coming on in the closing minutes of the match against CP Taradell. At just 17 years of age, he became the youngest goalkeeper to make his debut for the first team in the section's recent history.
To continue his development, he spent several seasons out on loan. In 2022/23 he played for Italian side ASD Hockey Montecchio Precalcino, before spending the following two campaigns with CH Caldes Recam Làser in the OK Liga. In the summer of 2025, he joined Igualada Rigat HC, where he enjoyed an outstanding season, helping the club win the OK Liga title and finish the regular season with the league's best defensive record.
In the summer of 2026, he returned to Barça, the club where he developed as a player, to join the first team on a permanent basis. A lifelong Barça fan, he also has strong family ties to the Club's roller hockey section: both his father, Jordi "Tino" Martínez, and his maternal grandfather, Jaume Borràs, also played in goal for Barça.
Arnau Martínez is an agile, explosive goalkeeper with outstanding reflexes. He also stands out for his solidity between the posts, his command of one-on-one situations and his ability to inspire confidence throughout the team.
