Versatile and powerful left back

Born in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1995, Jonathan Carlsbogard came to the club in the summer of 2022 from German side TBV Lemgo. 

Carlsbogard is a powerful left back who is very versatile on court. 

The Swede began his professional career at Redbergslids IK in the First Division in his homeland. After five seasons in Sweden, the back made the move to Germany to TBV Lemgo where in four seasons he became a key part of the squad. 

At international level Carlsbogard is a fixture in the Swedish national side and with them he has won gold at the 2022 European Championships and silver at the 2021 World Championships. 

Technical profile 

Carlsbogard stands out for his physical presence on the court. He normally plays at left back but he is a versatile player who is excellent in defence and who can also get forward. A complete handball player, he gives the coach plenty of tactical alternative on court.
