Raphinha simply can't stop scoring. Against Feyenoord, in Barça's winning Champions League opener (5-1), the Brazilian found the net again and collected his third MVP award of the season.
He scored twice for his third brace of the campaign, taking his tally to eight goals in just five games. No player had scored as many in the first five games of a season since Sándor Kocsis in 1958/59, 68 years ago.
Goals in each of the first five games
Scoring in each and every one of the first five games of the season has also seen him match a feat from another era. The last Barça player to do so in the opening five games of a campaign was Luis Suárez, back in 1958.
UCL top five
His two goals against Feyenoord have also taken him to fifth on Barça's all-time Champions League scoring list, with 21 goals. Only Messi (121), Luis Suárez (25), Rivaldo (25) and Lewandowski (23) have scored more.
