Born in Sao Paulo (February 25, 1998) and beginning his career in Corinthians' youth teams, Matheus Pereira da Silva is an attacking midfielder who stands out for his touch and late arrivals into the box.
The Brazilian, who has been followed by Barça for some time, made the leap to European football in the summer of 2016. He joined Empoli of Italy's Serie B, before subsequently being loaned to Juventus where he played for their youth side. Further loans to Girondins de Bordeaux (Ligue 1) and Paraná Clube preceded another at Dijon, the club that Barça signed him from. Last season, however, Pereira played for Juventus' Serie C team, scoring five goals. He also made his first team debut for the Bianconeri in 2017/18, making three appearances in total. Pereira is a Brazilian U17 international.
