Juliano Belleti's Barça Atlètic picked up their second win of the season with a 1-0 victory away at UD Barbastro. An early goal from Landry put the blaugranes ahead and the team worked hard to maintain their advantage until the final whistle and remain unbeaten so far this season in the Segunda Federación.

The second away game in a row for the blaugranes was similar in tone to their trip to UD Logroño. The home side, on their artificial pitch, sat back with five in defence waiting to try and catch Barça on the counter.

Landry strikes first

For the blaugranes Orian Goren went close with a header before Landry put Belletti's side ahead. The left back rose highest from a corner to head home Joni's cross in the 12th minute of the encounter.

Barbastro did their best to hit back but Belletti's Barça Atlètic showed admirable defensive solidity, only allowing Barbastro the one chance that Nana failed to take before half time.

Under pressure

The home side improved after the break but it was Barça who had a chance to double their lead, goalscorer Landry's header coming back off the post. Barbastro's Sito then struck the woodwork himself as coach Belletti sent on Pedro Roríguez and Aziz.

Pedro could have added a second but the substitute shot just wide. Nevertheless, Barça Atlètic's defence held firm to claim a second win in three matches at the start of the league season.
