The Board of FC Barcelona, who met in regular session on Monday at the Camp Nou, have reached the following agreements:

Record revenues in the closing of the financial results for the 2015/16 season:

The Board has approved the closure of the financial results for the 2015/16 season, which showed record revenues of €679million, representing a substantial increase of the figure originally budgeted for this area, with a net profit of €29million after tax.

This includes the €30million euros that the club will assume in the reversal of the sale of the land of Can Rigalt.

The Board has valued highly the final balance of this exercise, not only due to the increase of income but also because it is in the line with the Strategic Plan of the Club of reaching €1,000 million in 2021.

Presentation of the status of implementation of the Strategic Plan 2015-2021

The Board was informed about the degree of implementation and execution of the Strategic Plan approved on November 29, 2015 for the period 2015-2021. The five key aims of this plan are sporting excellence, economic management and sustainability, social involvement, Espai Barça project, and the brand and the global positioning.

The materialisation of these areas will be 27 strategic projects that will be developed over the course of this mandate.

Approval of the sponsorship agreement with Qatar Airways

The Board has approved the renewal of the sponsorship agreement with Qatar Airways for one season. In this way, the airline, one of the ten best rated in the world, will remain the main sponsor of FC Barcelona.

Period of reflection in the case of Can Rigalt

The Board has been informed of the range of possibilities on the grounds of Can Rigalt and has decided to open a period of reflection to decide what action to take.

Report from the Director of Professional Sports

The Board has been informed by the Club’s Director of Professional Sports, Albert Soler, of the latest developments regarding the configuration of the new squads of the first teams, both for football and professional sections, all of the sports-based planning for the 2016/17 season, and the new structures of the basketball and futsal.
