For the first Champions League of the season that FC Barcelona will take part in against Feyenoord at Spotify Camp Nou on Wednesday 9 September at 6.45pm CEST, the Club, as it does for all matches classified as high risk, will implement the necessary security measures to guarantee the safety of all members, supporters and both home and away fans.
On this occasion, specific control measures will also be introduced regarding ticket sales, particularly concerning the sale of seats and the presence in the stadium of supporters of the visiting team outside the area designated for away fans.
These are measures that the Club already applied during the previous season for matches in which enhanced security protocols were required, such as those against Eintracht Frankfurt and Newcastle United. The implementation of these measures helped strengthen security at the stadium and prevent situations of risk, ensuring the normal process of the matches. The aim is to anticipate potential issues and guarantee maximum safety, as well as an appropriate experience for all spectators in attendance.
For this reason, the Club is calling on Feyenoord supporters who do not have a ticket not to travel to Spotify Camp Nou, as there will be no ticket sales points available at the stadium. Only supporters with a ticket allocated through their club in the designated away section will be permitted entry.
The measures that have been established, and which form part of the standard protocol for matches declared high risk by the Anti-Violence Commission, are as follows:
- Tickets are nominal
- Activities from the rival supporters in the local fan area are not allowed.
- Technical sales restrictions have been implemented to ensure compliance with the supporter segregation measures established for high-risk matches.
- Website communication during the sale period includes a message indicating that sales are only for FC Barcelona members.
- Rival team clothing and symbols are only allowed in the seating area designated for visiting fans and in exchange seats.
- Visiting fan access will be through gate L.
- Official identification documents must be available to access the Stadium (ticket and passport or ID) to be shown if requested.
- There is no ticket sales at Spotify Camp Nou box offices.
- Tour operators have limited ticket sales.
The Club asks spectators to arrive well in advance of the match and have all documentation ready to show if requested by any Club or security personnel at the entrances. Likewise, given the exceptional nature of this match, the following measures will be re-implemented:
- Increased security personnel at each access point and in the stands to manage incidents and, if necessary, carry out expulsions.
- Nominal and visual control of attendees with Newcastle symbols or clothing to rule out indications of illegal ticket acquisition.
- Coordination with Feyenoord, the Guàrdia Urbana, and the Mossos d’Esquadra to prevent rival fans from accessing areas around Spotify Camp Nou, discouraging ticket resale.
- Daily analysis of sales to identify possible fraudulent patterns, taking necessary measures to prevent any security breach for our fans.
As part of these measures, it should be noted that tickets purchased by members for this match will be assigned to a single named holder and cannot be amended. Likewise, ticket transfers will not be permitted. These new rules are already in force and, therefore, members who have already purchased a ticket cannot change the name on it or transfer it to another person.
In addition, purchasing members will be required to expressly agree that they will not transfer or sell their ticket to Feyenoord supporters. The aim of this measure is to prevent away fans from being present outside the area specifically designated for visiting supporters and to strengthen security measures at the Stadium.
For any new purchases, the same conditions will apply from the moment of acquisition: the ticket holder's name may only be registered once, and the ticket may not be transferred.
- Ticket sales are exclusively available to FC Barcelona members.
- Purchased tickets cannot be transferred and must be assigned to a named holder up to 24 hours before kick-off. Once a ticket has been assigned to a named holder, the name cannot be changed.
- Should the traceability of the purchase and the ticket's final use reveal any fraudulent activity, the matter will be referred to the Disciplinary Committee, which will adopt the appropriate measures against those responsible.
