Barça's goals at Wembley

This Wednesday we're off to London looking to make it four wins out of four in competitive games at one of the most iconic temples of sport

FC Barcelona are off to Wembley to face Tottenham on Wednesday at 9.00pm CET, a stadium that holds very fond memories for culés, being the scene of not one but two victories in the final of the continent’s biggest club competition.

In 1992, the Johan Cruyff led Dream Team won what was still known at the time as the European Champions Cup, beating Sampdoria 1-0 with that legendary free kicked goal from Ronald Koeman.

Seven years later, in 1999, Barça played Arsenal in the same venue, this time in the group stages of the revamped Champions League, and Rivaldo, Luis Enrique, Luis Figo and Phillip Cocu contributed the goals to a 4-2 win.

By the time Barça returned in 2011 the stadium had been completed rebuilt, ready to host the final between FCB and Manchester United. With Pep Guardiola now managing the side, Pedro, Leo Messi and David Villa scored the goals in a 3-1 win to secure the famous trophy.

That’s eight goals and three wins out of three in competitive manages at the iconic venue. Well worth clicking on the video above and watching them all again, don’t you think?
