The bulk of the FC Barcelona first team squad are away on international duty right now, but for the remainder it’s still work as usual at the Ciutat Esportiva.

There has been a considerable drop in temperature in the city today, making the conditions a lot more comfortable for physical exercise, and the players were fortunate enough to have completed their workout before heavy rain hit the Catalan capital around noon.

The venue for the Thursday session was the less familiar surroundings of pitch three, with Douglas absent after receiving special dispensation to sort out his future.

With Ter Stegen and Jasper Cillessen both away, reserve team goalkeepers Iñaki Peña and Sergi Puig were drafted in to help out.

Ernesto Valverde was back after missing training on Wednesday due to his trip to Nyon to attend the UEFA Coaches Forum.

Barça have no fixtures until September 9, when they host Espanyol in the derby at the Camp Nou (TICKETS).
