Barça are back in business. The Catalans beat Levante 3–0 in a Sunday fixture that has seen them return to the top of La Liga.
Speaking after the game, Hansi Flick highlighted the “good response” from his players after a run of two consecutive losses to Atlético Madrid and Girona. “We know it isn’t easy to start winning again after two defeats, but the team gave a very good response” he said.
He also praised the performance of Joan García, who kept Barça in the game early on with a crucial save in the opening moments. “We’re very happy to have him. He’s a complete goalkeeper, calm and quick to react.”
Marc Bernal is continuing to rack up minutes and was the man who opened the scoring at Spotify Camp Nou, described by his coach as "a player for the future. If he stays healthy, he has a very bright future ahead of him. He did a great job.”
Asked about the break coming up next week, Flick said: “It’s important to have these days to rest and focus on the next match, which will be a tough one.”
