Five whole days after beating Girona, 6–1, Barça will be back in action at Las Palmas looking to extend its club-record 32-game unbeaten streak. The match also comes less than 72 hours before Sunday's big clash at Camp Nou with Atlético Madrid, Barça's closest pursuer in the standings.

On Wednesday afternoon, manager Ernesto Valverde released the following 18-player squad list for the trip to Las Palmas:

Ter Stegen, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, A.Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, O.Dembélé, Cillessen, Coutinho, Paulinho, Paco Alcácer, Digne, S. Roberto, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal, Umtiti, and Vermaelen.

Prior to naming the squad, Ernesto Valverde appeared before the media in his habitual pre-game press conference, followed by the team's final training session. Paco Alcácer returned to the group, which was also joined by Jokin Ezkieta, of Barça B. At the beginning of the session, the team observed a moment of silence in memory of Enrique Castro, aka Quini, the former Barça player who passed away on Tuesday.
