After Lucas Digne’s presentation on Thursday, it was the turn of Samuel Umtiti to be introduced to his new home.

Arriving from Olympique Lyonnais, the youngster’s first stop of a busy day was at the Hospital of Barcelona where he underwent some initial medical examinations before continuing further checks at the club’s facilities.

He then made his way to the Camp Nou, where he put pen to paper on his contract which binds him to the club for the next five years. The Camp Nou terrace was the next stop, where he was welcomed by club president Josep Maria Bartomeu. The pair also stood for a minute’s silence in memory of those lost in Thursday night’s terrorist attack in Nice.

The French international posed for pictures with his Barça jersey alongside the president, the sporting vice-president Jordi Mestre and technical secretary Robert Fernandez.

Then for the big moment, where he stepped onto the Camp Nou turf for the first time and showing off some of his skills to those in attendance.

Umtiti’s long day ended with a press conference where he spoke of his delight to be at the club he had dreamed of playing for as a kid and what he described as a “dream come true”. The above videos wraps up all that happened on the 22-year-old’s first day in just 100 seconds.
