  • He made his first team debut for FC Barcelona in the 2011/12 season under Pep Guardiola in a league match against Mallorca at the Camp Nou. The date was October 29, 2011, and he played 28 minutes as a substitute for David Villa in a 5-0 win.

  • That same season he played his first Champions League match aged just 17. It was against Bate Borisov on December 6, 2011, when he came on for Rafinha to play the last 20 minutes.

  • In the 2011/12 season he made 34 appearances for the B team, scoring nine goals under manager Eusebio Sacristán.

  • In the 2012/13 season he played four games for the first team, one in the league, one in the cup and two in the Champions League.

  • On November 20, 2012, appeared in the 3-0 win away to Spartak Moscow, replacing Pedro for the last 20 minutes. His third Champions League match was the 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou with Benfica on December 5.

  • Deulofeu’s only first division appearance in the 2012/13 season was on April 6 against Mallorca. By now, he was 19 years old.

  • In the 2012/13 season, he scored 18 goals for Barça B in 33 second division outings.

  • In the 2013/14 season, Deulofeu went on loan to Everton, where he played 29 games (starting 11 and coming on as sub in 18). He scored four goals and gradually won over the confidence of manager Roberto Martínez.
