The coach also announced the team's captains will be named and pending the completion of the squad and a definitive vote. "Players may still arrive or leave. Once the squad is finalised, we’ll hold the vote. Until then, Raphinha will be captain, together with Eric and Pedri. Frenkie is injured, so I’ve made this decision. The relationship between Frenkie and myself is very good. He is a very professional player, and our relationship is excellent,” said the coach regarding the Dutch midfielder.
