Good news on a very special return to work for Barça. After a rest day following the morale-boosting win against Atlético Madrid, Hansi Flick’s men returned to training at the Ciutat Esportiva for a session that also included Fermín López and Frenkie de Jong. And, as if that weren’t enough, they received a visit from Andrés Iniesta, who stopped by to watch the session and greet the players and coaching staff.
The blaugrana legend, who retired a few months ago, spent some time with the team and took photos with several players. One of those was Fermín himself, who missed the matches against Alavés and Atlético Madrid due to an injury suffered in training and has now started working on the pitch again. De Jong, meanwhile, missed the Atlético match due to a fever and also trained with the group today.
Both of them, along with the rest of the available players, trained on the Tito Vilanova pitch, just two days before Betis v Barça at La Cartuja (Saturday, 6.30pm CET). This Friday, the team will complete their preparations for the match with a session scheduled for 11am CET, and at 1pm CET Hansi Flick will speak to the media in the usual pre-match press conference.
