This is a big week for Hansi Flick and his men, and on the first day of the last month of the year they were at the training ground to prepare for a big clash at home to Atlético Madrid in the knowledge, following Real Madrid's draw at Girona on Sunday, they are the new league leaders.
The presence of Ter Stegen was the big news on a day when Eder Aller, Dro Fernández, Tommy Marqués and Jofre Torrents also attended the senior session. Ronald Aruajo, however, was absent.
Three big points on offer
Barça may be top of the league but things are very tight in the competition. Atlético are down in fourth but have only lost one game all season and are just three points adrift. It means the mattress-makers actually have the chance to draw level with the Catalans if they can repeat last season's victory away to Barça. But of course, it also means that if Barça win, the difference would extend to six and put some space between themselves and a direct rival.
Kick off at Spotify Camp Nou is at 9pm CET.
