There is no doubt that FC Barcelona are excited about the Copa del Rey final and the chance to win a second trophy of the season. "We are happy and motivated for tomorrow's game," said blaugrana defender Ronald Araujo in his pre-game press conference in Seville on Friday.

Barça are up against Real Madrid in Saturday's final in La Cartuja stadium. The blaugranes have already beaten Carlo Ancelotti's team twice so far this season but the Uruguayan centre aback is not reading too much in previous encounters in 2024/25. "It will be a different game to those others this season. The team is coming into the game in form. We are aware of what we can achieve but we prefer to go game by game," said Araujo.

This mental approach is what has brought the blaugranes to this point in the season still alive in all competitions. Winning the trophy is the focus for the squad but Araujo is aware that their big rivals always pose a threat: "Lifting the trophy will not be easy and Real Madrid have great players and we want to approach the game in humble fashion."

One of the keys to victory will be remaining true to their style according to the defender. "We have the tools to deal with any situation but we want to be loyal to our style of football," concluded Araujo.
