The USNMT featuring Sergiño Dest went down to defeat against Canada on Sunday, losing 2-0 in Hamilton, Ontario in a World Cup qualifier. The CONCACAF group match sees Canada take a four point lead at the top of table ahead of the USA with Mexico in third place having played a game less. 

Barça player Dest featured for 76 minutes of the game in which goals from Larin in the seventh minute and a second from Adekugbe deep into injury time in the second half handed the home side the win. 

In CONCACAF qualifying the top three nations go through to the finals in Qatar in 2022 with the fourth place team going into a play off with four fixtures still to play.
