Founded on 24 August 1926, the Barça basketball team is second only behind the football team in terms of support and visibility amongst Barça fans. One of the elite teams in the country since the 1940s, European success came in 2002/03 with a much awaited European Cup success thanks to a team containing Bodiroga, Jasikevicius and Navarro and the Palau Sant Jordi.
Juan Carlos Navarro, is one of the biggest legends of the Palau Blaugrana.
