Riqui Puig against Juventus wins Goal of the Preseason
With the preseason over, users of the different versions of the official FC Barcelona website have been voting for the best Barça goal in the friendlies against Gimnàstic Tarragona, Girona, Stuttgart, RB Salzburg and Juventus.
And the winner was the last one of all to be scored, the absolute beauty from Riqui Puig in injury time of the Joan Gamper Trophy match with Juventus. Coming on for Sergi Roberto with under 20 minutes left to play, the Catalan midfielder’s splendid turn and shoot from outside of the area, slotting the ball neatly inside the post, was a more than worthy winner of our award.
Puig thus saw off Goal of the Preseason challenges from Rey Manaj against Nàstic, and two from Memphis, one against Stuttgart and the other against Juventus.
