Vidal and Orellana meet at Ipurua

After having played together for Chile during the recent international break, the two players find themselves in opposition for the Eibar-Barça fixture (Saturday, 1.00pm CET)

After another international break club football returns, and FC Barcelona visit Eibar on match day nine (Saturday 19, 1.00pm CET). Ipurua is a stadium that has always been historically kind to the culers: four victories and a draw in their previous five visits.

It's a game that will be special for Arturo Vidal and Fabián Orellana, international team-mates, and who recently played together in Chile's 0-0 draw with Colombia. Orellana didn't play in the win over Guinea (3-2), a match in which Arturo scored from a penalty and played the entire 90 minutes.

Both have played together several times with their national team, specifically from 2009. More than a decade as team-mates, during which time they've been proclaimed Copa América champions (2016). Arturo Vidal also won the 2015 Copa América.

Rivals since 2007

But they've also been rivals before and it won't be the first time that they've faced each other in the league. Last season at Camp Nou, the Blaugrana won 3-0, while at Ipurua the game ended in a draw (2-2). However, the first face to face between the two dates back more than 12 years ago. Vidal (Colo-Colo) and Orellana (Audax Italiano) played against each other in Chile on May 20, 2007, Orellana coming on in the 75th minute with Vidal playing the full 90.
