FC Barcelona has reached an agreement to sign Andressa Alves to the women’s team. The Brazilian striker passed a medical in her country, where she is currently preparing for the Olympic Games in Río de Janeiro in August.
The 23-year-old is the first new addition to the Barça women’s team for the 2016/17 season, having arrived at the club from Montpellier in France.
“It is a huge pleasure and joy to be able to say that I’ll be playing for FC Barcelona” she said. “It’s more than a club. I’m really looking forward to putting on the Barça shirt and it is an honour to be part of the best club in the world.“
