André Gomes is officially an FC Barcelona player. The Portuguese international arrived at El Prat airport in the evening and went to the club’s facilities for a photo session.
Speaking to Barça TV, Gomes displayed his delight at joining the club where he hopes to “enjoy nice moments, to learn, play and help in the best way possible”. The recently crowned European champion defined himself as “a very hard-working player” who aims to “win everything possible”.
His first day at Ciutat Esportiva continued with a medical examination. The former Valencia player will return to the Camp Nou this Wednesday morning with the following schedule:
11.30am: Official presentation at the Camp Nou terrace in the main stand
12.30pm: Photo session on the Miniestadi field. This session will be open to the public from 11.30am. Fans who wish to attend must receive a ticket free of charge from one of the Club’s ticket booth (Access 15, from the North Goal next to Access 5 or the Miniestadi ticket booth) from 9.00am.
1.15pm: Press conference at the Ricard Maxenchs hall. Vice-president Jordi Mestre, director of professional sports Albert Soler and secretary general Robert Fernández will accompany the player.
