35. Makuc

Domen Makuc comes to the Barça handball team in July 2020 from RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko and has a contract until the end of the 2023/24 season. Before joining the blaugranes he gained four seasons of valuable experience with Celje in Slovenia, playing in the Champions League in 2016/17, Makuc becoming the first player born in the 21st century to play in the competition.

His Barça debut came in the Spanish Super Cup where he claimed his first trophy as a blaugrana after picking up the man of the match award thanks to his seven goals in the final. From that moment on, Makuc's importance in the dressing room continued to grow. After recovering from a serious knee injury, the Slovenian came back stronger than ever and showed he had lost none of his ability out on the court. 

With the Slovenian junior national team he was part of the European Championship winning squad. 

Technical profile 

The Slovenian is an organising presence on the court, technical, quick and daring. He has great vision to combine with the pivot position also.
