FC Barcelona made a winning start to their Prime Futsal League campaign with a 5-2 victory away to Valdepeñas. Barça controlled the contest and took the lead through Antonio in the 14th minute. Matheus doubled the advantage a minute later, giving the visitors a 2-0 lead at half-time.

Valdepeñas pulled a goal back early in the second half through Carrasco, but Barça remained in control. Pito restored the two-goal cushion at 3-1 following a swift counter-attack. An own goal by Sergio González brought Valdepeñas back to 3-2, briefly raising hopes of a comeback. Barça responded immediately, with Pito scoring again to make it 4-2. João Víctor sealed the win late on, taking advantage of Valdepeñas sacrificing their goalkeeper. 

Goals from Antonio, Matheus, Pito (2) and João Víctor secured a convincing 5-2 victory and Barça's first three points of the new league season.
