Test carried out on FC Barcelona Women first team player Fridolina Rolfö have concluded that she has injured the meniscus on her right knee. She will undergo keyhole surgery on Friday 8 September. A medical update will be provided once the procedure has been performed.
Full squad for Wednesday training
Other than Rolfö, Wednesday will be the first day that the full squad is available for training for coach Jonatan Giráldez this pre-season. The players who returned from the Mexico tour on Sunday will be joined by the players who featured for Spain and England at the World Cup, after they returned to training on 2 September. As such, the Galician coach will have four more training sessions to complete preparations for the start of the Liga F season against Valencia on Sunday at Estadi Johan Cruyff (kick-off 9pm CEST).
