Levante Las Planas 0-4 Barça: The league leaders push on

Seven wins out of seven and Barça push on as league leaders. This rearranged Catalan derby saw Jonatan Giráldez' team find enough space to ensure another league win in a difficult game against defensive and energetic opponents. Patri, Oshoala, Salma and Irene Paredes scored the goals. 

Dominance from the off...

Barça came across a resistant Levante Las Planas at the Municipal de Las Planas stadium in Sant Joan Despí. They were having a lot of possession but were finding the home side difficult to break down. However, Salma was clearly up for the challenge, winning the ball right on the dead ball line before passing for Patri Guijarro. A mix-up then allowed Oshoala to make it 0-2 some 15 minutes later.

Consistency and patience were rewarded as a lively Salma picked up a pass into space from Clàudia Pina. Barça's number 17 then dribbled and shot to open her account for FC Barcelona. 0-3 was a good reflection of Barça's dominance.

With the game already comfortable, Barça were playing with ease despite fielding an unfamiliar line up with different youth team players. The second-half 11 included Alba Caño, who was making her competitive debut with the first team.

There wasn't much for the defence to do as Levante Las Planas were finding it difficult to get through to test Sandra Paños. Irene Paredes stepped up in attack, though, finishing a corner to make it 0-4. Final score and seventh win out of seven in the LaLiga F.

Next up a real test for the winning run, with Barça travelling to play El Clásico against Real Madrid on Sunday, 6 November (6pm CET) in what should be a great duel.
