The top scorer for Hansi Flick's side in preseason was Hamza Abdelkarim. The 18-year-old Egyptian made his intentions clear about showing what he can bring to the first team. He cut his holiday short after being at the World Cup with Egypt to join up with the blaugranes and made the most of the opportunity.

The forward scored in most of the five matches played this season (three plus the triangular tournament in Udine), starting in four of them. He began with a brace in Birmingham, which ended in a draw before a loss on penalties.

After not scoring in the triangular tournament in Udine, the Egyptian added to his account via a great strike in Basel after just four minutes on the pitch. His final goal came in the Gamper game, when he scored the first against his former team Al Ahly.

Bisiwu and Raphinha both got two

Barça scored 10 goals during preseason. In addition to the four by Abdelkarim, there were two by Jesse Bisiwu, another summer signing. The Belgian winger shone bright in Basel by scoring a great goal into the top corner from a Lamine Yamal assist to round out the scoring against the Swiss side.

Raphinha also scored two, both from the penalty spot, against Nottingham Forest and Al Ahly respectively. The remaining goalscorers were Adeyemi, who also got his first against Basel, and Lamine Yamal, who scored a penalty in the same match.
