Barça midfielder Pedri has became a huge fan favourite over the last few year for the culers and is an integral part of Hansi Flick's side. So much so that it is impossible to imagine a blaugrana team without him. Consistency has been key to his success and with his injuries now behind him he has reached a total of 224 appearances for Barça, second on the all time list for players from the Canary Islands.

224 at 23 years of age

Pedri made his Barça debut at the age of just 17. He soon established himself as a first team regular despite his youth, becoming one of the first names on the team sheet for the coach. After a period when injury curtailed his run in the side, now he is in the best form of his career under coach Hansi Flick.

In his sixth season as a blaugrana, the man from Tenerife in the Canary Islands has made 224 appearances for Barça, the most recent being in the Spanish Super Cup final win over Real Madrid on Sunday. That game took him past Gerardo Miranda who played for Barça between 1981 and 1988 and into second place on the all time list of appearances for Canary Islanders.

Pedro, next objective

The only player ahead of Pedri now is Pedro Rodríguez, one of the key members of Pep Guardiola's all conquering Barça squad, who made 321 appearances for the first team during his time at the Club. Less than 100 matches behind, Pedri now has his fellow Canary Islander in his sights.
