1800 LaLiga wins for FC Barcelona
The LaLiga gameweek 15 victory against Real Betis at the La Cartuja stadium in Seville saw FC Barcelona bring up the round number of 1800 wins in the domestic competition.
Victory number 1800 came in LaLiga game 3082 for the Club. The milestone was reached almost 97 years since Barça got their first win in the domestic competition on 12 February 1929, when a brace by Parera sealed an away victory over Racing Santander.
100 victories in under four years
The blaugranes have achieved notable milestones along this victory trail: win 1000 was achieved on 26 September 1993 at the Spotify Camp Nou in gameweek four of the 1993/94 season, with a 4-1 defeat of Zaragoza featuring a hat-trick by Begiristain, plus a goal by Quique Estebaranz.
More recently, win 1700 came on 3 April 2022, also at the Spotify Camp Nou, in gameweek 30 of the 2021/22 LaLiga season, courtesy of a goal by Pedri. Current squad members who also played on that day include De Jong, Ferran Torres, Araujo, Gavi and Ter Stegen.
How these milestones were achieved shows how the Club has become established at the top level. It took 64 years, seven months and 14 days from the first victory (12/02/1929) to reach win 1000. It then took 28 years, six months and eight days to reach win 1700, but only three years, eight months and three days to go from 1700 to now 1800.
This new threshold of 1800 wins is further testament to the progress and continuity of FC Barcelona in LaLiga. A story made from goals, period-defining players and moments that have gone down in Spanish football history.
