What a day for Ferran Torres. The Barça striker stole the show at La Cartuja, firing in a hat-trick and smashing several personal records along the way.
11 league goals
With his treble in Seville, Ferran now sits on 11 league goals, surpassing last season’s tally of 10. He’s hit those eleven in just 15 matches, with over half the campaign still to come! Following today, the Valencian forward also breaks into Barça’s all-time Top 50 LaLiga scorers.
Third hat-trick for Barça
Torres completed his hat-trick in the 40th minute. Only 112 seconds separated his first and second goals, the fastest Barça brace since Ansu Fati vs Levante in 2020. And Ferran has gone even quicker before: he hit a hat-trick within 30 minutes in a 5–0 Copa del Rey win over Valencia.
Punishing Betis
This latest treble is Ferran’s third in a Barça shirt. And, like his second, it came against Betis. He struck his previous one on 21 January 2024 in his 100th Barça appearance. That's eight goals in total that he has scored against Betis, more than he has scored against any other team.
La Cartuja, where today's game was played, also bring out the beat in the 'Shark', for it he also found the net here against Real Madrid in last season's Copa del Rey final.
