Hotshot Raphinha reaches 50 goals

The brace against Celta de Vigo extends the Brazilian's goal tally during his highest scoring season so far

Raphael Dias Belloli seems to always be providing moments of joy, particularly because he is one of the first names that comes to mind when you think about FC Barcelona's goalscoring. The Brazilian scored a brace in the vital comeback against Celta (4-3) and that's now a half-century of goals for him while wearing blaugrana. A round figure that has come in his most prolific season for FC Barcelona and during his entire career to boot. The number 11 is undoubtedly proving to be a hotshot this season.

Assist and a brace

On 19 April, Montjuïc and Barça were in need of some inspiration and Raphinha duly delivered when the fans were going through the mill to some extent. However, he had already provided some relief, his assist finding Dani Olmo who scored to bring the game back to 2-3 in the 64th minute.

The assist wasn't enough for him though, and he stepped up to the role of hotshot once again, as just four minutes later, his goal made it three all. His superb header under pressure had restored parity and gave new impetus to Hansi Flick's side, but Raphinha still had more to say in this pulsating game.

The match was almost up, now in time added on, and up he stepped again to save Barça, the Brazilian this time showing his prowess from the penalty spot to seal the win and another great performance.

His highest goalscoring season

The brace meant he has now scored 50 goals in 135 games for FC Barcelona during his third season in the Catalan capital. And this latest season has been his most prolific by some margin, as he has 30 so far, while he scored 10 in each of his first two seasons. The number 11 is in hot form in front of goal and is a key man in Hansi Flick's attack, a hotshot who is bringing delight to blaugrana fans with every performance.
