The fixture list for La Liga 2022/23 will be announced on June 23 at 5.00pm CEST at a draw to be held in the Salón Luis Aragonés at the Ciudad del Fútbol de las Rozas, Madrid. The competition itself is set to start on the weekend of August 12 and 13.
The dates of all the other competitions are also decided. The Champions League gets going on September 6, the Copa del Rey on October 19 and the Spanish Super Cup takes place in Saudi Arabia from January 11 to 15.
This season is, of course, going to be an atypical one due to the World Cup in Qatar being played in November and December, meaning elite level club football will be paused for several weeks.
Cup Final on May 6
A change of date was announced today of the Copa del rey Final, which was originally scheduled for April 29, but that date will now be used for league fixtures and the cup final will be moved to a week later on May 6.
