Xavi names 20 players in the group that will be playing a friendly in Sydney on Wednesday

Immediately after the game with Villarreal, the Barça squad made their way to the airport for a long flight to Australia, where they’ll be playing the final game of the season against the A-League All-Stars at the Accor Stadium, Sydney on Wednesday.

Xavi Hernández is taking twenty players down under: Ter Stegen, R. Araujo, Sergio, O. Dembélé, Dani Alves, Memphis, Ansu Fati, Adama, L. de Jong, Jordi Alba, F. de Jong, Umtiti, Aubameyang, Gavi, Balde, Álvaro Sanz, Arnau Tenas, Mika Mármol, Jandro and Aranda.

Ferran Torres cannot travel to Australia because for personal reasons he has not completed the required vaccination programme in time. Meanwhile, Riqui Puig and Òscar Mingueza are both in the Catalonia squad for a friendly against Jamaica in Girona.

Martin Braithwaite is also staying behind as he has been called up for international duty with Denmark, and Neto and Lenglet are not in the squad for family reasons.

Also absent from the travelling party are the injured Dest, Piqué, Nico, Pedri, S. Roberto and Eric Garcia.
