Unbeaten away from home in the league under Xavi

FC Barcelona end their La Liga campaign with 9 wins and 5 draws away from home since the former blaugrana took over as coach

FC Barcelona's season away from home in the league is now over. Their final fixture on the road saw them pick up a 0-0 draw against Getafe at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez and a point that guaranteed runners-up spot in La Liga and a place in next season's Spanish Super Cup.

The latest result in the league away from home means that Xavi Hérnandez has not lost on the road as Barça coach in the competition. His record stands at nine wins and five draws in his 14 games in charge away from Camp Nou.

Victories have come at Betis, Real Sociedad, Levante, Elche, Valencia, Alavés, Mallorca, Villarreal and, of course, at Real Madrid.

Xavi has also picked up draws at Getafe, Espanyol, Granada, Sevilla and Osasuna.

As such, Xavi becomes the third coach to go unbeaten in at least 10 games in a league season away form home. Ernesto Valverde recorded 12 wins and six draws whilst Tito Vilanova managed 10 wins, albeit with one under Jordi Roura.

Two defeats in 19 games away

Since the start of the season Barça have only lost twice away: a 2-0 defeat at Atlético Madrid and a 1-0 reverse at Rayo Vallencano. Before Xavi's arrival the blaugranes also picked up draws at Celta, Cádiz and Athletic Club.
