Osumane Dembélé made his 150th appearance in an FC Barcelona jersey in the final game of the 2021/22 league season, in which he came on as substitute against Villarreal at Camp Nou.
The lightning quick winger has reached the milestone at the conclusion of his fifth season at the club, a season in which more than ever he has been famed for his innate ability to deliver assists. His total of 11 so far in 2022 is actually the highest tally in Europe’s top five football leagues. And his total of 13 for the whole of 2021/22 is a Liga high, ahead of Karim Benzema (12) and his team-mate Jordi Alba (10).
He also tops Barça for dribbles, and also for runs that have ended in goals (7), a statistical category in which he is second in Europe’s top five leagues.
In total he has scored 32 goals in his 150 games in blaugrana. Of those, 17 were scored with the left foot and 15 with the right, a stat that shows how flexible he is the use of either leg.
