Speaking in Catalan, the FC Barcelona striker was attending the presentation of a charity book of which he is the patron
Ansu Fati was the special guest at Tuesday’s presentation of the bookRelats solidaris de l'esport (Solidarity Tales in Sport) where his opening words were “thank you for letting me be part of this magnificent project. I had no doubt about sponsoring it.”
He and FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta were in the Caixa Building in Barcelona for the 17th edition of this event involving some forty sportswriters, of which Ansu is a patron and appears on the cover of the publication. The beneficiaries in 2022 are the Pallapupas organisation that entertains children in hospital.
In an informal atmosphere amid plenty of smiles, the Barça striker spoke about his recovery, saying that “I am working day by day and my return depends on how I feel and what the boss and the physios think. It’s about working hard and progressing little by little. But at all times I have sensed that everyone involved with Barça has been behind me.”
Speaking all the time in excellent Catalan, he added that “Xavi should be praised for what he’s achieved.”
