FC Barcelona players called up for international duty

At the moment five Barça players have been selected by their national teams for the upcoming international fixtures

International call-up time is upon us again. There are fixtures later in March, and the first players to be announced for national duty were the Dutch trio of Luuk de Jong, Frenkie de Jong and Memphis. They were soon followed by South Americans Ronald Araujo and Dani Alves for Uruguay and Brazil respectively.

Alves back in squad again

The veteran right back has been called up for the second time in a row by Brazil coach Tite. Alves will be involved in World Cup qualifiers at the end of the month in South American with the national side having games against Chile and Bolivia.

The provisional Oranje squad includes the three Barça players who have all struck decent form of late, all featuring prominently in the recent 4-0 defeat of Athletic Club

Memphis marked his comeback from injury with a goal. Luuk scored his sixth goals of the season, and Frenkie closed a fabulous week with an assist for Dembélé.

Holland have two friendlies lined up against Denmark on March 26 and Germany on March 29. But before then, they have plenty of work to do for their club.

Araujo, also in pre squad

The blaugrana central defender Ronald Araujo is also on a prelist for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for Uruguay at the end of the month. Diego Alonso's team have crucial fixtures against Peru and Chile as they battle for a place in the World Cup in Qatar.
