Agüero 'full of confidence' after Sunday win

Argentinian striker looks forward to Wednesday's game with Dynamo, where he is set to make his European debut for FC Barcelona

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s must-win fixture with Dynamo Kyiv (6.45pm CEST), Sergio Agüero has said that “of course we have no option but to win this game. If we don’t, we’re practically out. But we’re full of confidence after Sunday’s game and with the fans behind us we can get the three points we need.”

After playing the last few minutes of the game with Valencia, the Argentinian is now looking forward to the chance to play his first European fixture for Barça. “I’m happy to be back” he said. “I felt good the other day and it was a nice night, especially because we won.”

Here are some of the other things he had to say:

Camp Nou reception

"I’ve only ever experienced Barça from outside. The stadium is very imposing. Now this is my team I’m really having fun. All that mattered to me against Valencia was winning the game. I didn’t expect such a warm reception from the fans. Now I have to return it.”

Finding form

"I’m trying to train hard and then it’s up to the coach to decide. The only way to earn a place in the team is by doing well.”

"The goals will come by themselves. It’s harder if you think about these things too much. The most important thing is to win.”

"I never set a goals target. I just try to finish the season as well as I can. My target is to play well, get involved in a lot of games, and hopefully win a trophy at the end of it.”

Ansu Fati

"Ansu looks good wearing number ten. I’m very happy that he’s back and so keen, he has a talent that we need to make the most of. We should be grateful that he’s one of us. You don’t often see talent like he has.”
