Eric Garcia: 'We are a winning Club and we will do all we can to make the fans happy'
The blaugrana centre back speaks to Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio to reflect on his first few months at the Club
Blaugrana centre half Eric Garcia spoke on Friday to Catalan radio station Catalunya Ràdio to reflect on his first few months at the Club. Let's take a look at the highlights from the interview:
The loss against Bayern
"Nobody here likes to lose and less so like we did the other day. We will do our best to win - we are a winning Club and we are winners."
Room for improvement
"We have a look in the cold light of day at the things we can improve and we will also have players back from injury. I think we can do good things."
"It's important for the young players to be made to feel important. Youngsters like Gavi, Balde and Yusuf are getting a chance and playing really well. They are earning their chances and it is important for the future of the Club as they will be important players."
"When you arrive, on the one hand you hope to have chances but you also think it will be difficult as there are already top quality central defenders and you are new and so it will be tough to get minutes. However, I am very happy to have the confidence of the boss."
Start of the season
"For my part, we had a good start against Real Sociedad but results have not come in the last two games in which I have played. It's time to improve and I am sure we will."
Ambition for the season
"I am a winner and my team mates too and we are at a winning Club. We will do all we can to try and win as the fans deserve some joy so we will try to give it to them."
