Dembélé’s goal against Juventus, winner of the ‘Goal of the Month’ in October
Voters from all domains of the official FC Barcelona website have opted for the Frenchman's goal, in the second match of the group stage of the Champions League
This October, the winner of the 'Goal of the Month' vote is a footballer who, until now, had never won the accolade. Ousmane Dembélé deservedly came out on top after his goal against Juventus in Turin. Voters from all domains of the official website of FC Barcelona gave his strike almost 45% of the vote.
This month, Dembélé's goal at Juventus Stadium beat those scored by Ansu Fati in Balaídos against Celta (0-3), Griezmann's goal against Alavés (1-1) and Coutinho's against Ferencváros (5-1).
We must remember that the 'Goal of the Month' is an initiative that arose to coincide with the beginning of 2020 and consisted of finding the best goal of the month among four contenders. Fans vote for their favourite goal, in an action that's repeated at the end of each month. During the time that the competition stopped because of the coronavirus, a historic edition was made, covering the best ever goals scored during March, April and May. The 'Goal of the Season' was held in August to choose the best goal of the campaign.
