Five years ago today: Messi's masterclass in Ipurua

Today, Saturday 14 March, sees the 5th anniversary of the Argentine's stellar performance against Eibar

This Saturday sees the fifth anniversary of Leo Messi's fantastic performance in Ipurua against Eibar in Barça's first ever visit to the Basque stadium. On 14 March 2015, the blaugrana number 10 produced yet another exhibition of football, scoring both goals in a 2-0 away win for FC Barcelona. Aside from his goals from the penalty spot and from a great header, Messi also produced several moments of magic that will live long in the memory.

A dribble from midfield leaves four defenders struggling in his wake with a couple of nutmegs thrown in for good measure. In the second half, more of the same with another mazy run and more nutmegs that delighted even the home fans in Ipurua. Another moment to remember from an unforgettable season that would end with Luis Enrique's team sealing a second treble in the Club's history. Take a look right now!
